Domestic Violence Resources

Most cases of known or suspected domestic violence should be triaged via the triage/on-call social worker (call 305-3078 and send patient to room 205). They will coordinate the various resources below, which are provided purely for your reference.

CUIMC DOVE (Domestic and Other Violence Emergencies) Program

Provides free, compassionate and comprehensive care to victims of violent crimes for ages 12 and above including, domestic violence, physical and sexual assault and elder abuse, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Provides violence prevention education to those at risk for becoming victims and for those community and health care providers who are in a position to identify and assist individuals and families affected by violence.

Shelter Resources: Call HRA/domestic violence unit 212-274-3209 to find out available shelter beds for HRA funded shelters. For safety's sake, victims should be referred to shelters outside their neighborhood.
