Research
The Division of General Medicine is home to a large NIH-funded research group. The research programs have long had a focus in chronic disease epidemiology, particularly in the population science of cardiovascular, respiratory, and aging-related diseases and disparities. More recently, the group has expanded to include programs in simulation modeling, multi-omics, machine-learning, behavioral science, and patient safety with broad, inter-disciplinary collaborations within the department, the medical center, and the university, as well as nationally and internationally.
