Overview

Dr. Zhang's research focuses on understanding the determinants of cardiovascular health and identify strategies to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease, particularly from a life course perspective. Dr. Zhang is the PI of three NIH/NHLBI R01 projects which aim to identify optimal strategies for blood pressure and lipid control in US young adults that are both cost-effective and improve health equity.
